REST API Integrations
Build with the Centri REST API. Get your credentials in MyPropane, explore the device-data endpoint, and use cURL and Python request examples.

REST / JSONRead your monitor’s latest tank level and device status from your own application.
https://api.centriconnect.comAuthentication
In the MyPropane app, open Settings → Integration to access your User ID, Device ID, and Device Authentication Code—the details needed to integrate your registered device.
Use your User ID and Device ID in the request path. Pass the Device Authentication Code as the device_auth query parameter.
Keep credentials in your application’s private configuration. Avoid sharing or logging URLs containing device_auth. Contact support if you need help finding your details.
Rate limits
1 request / device / hourThe API is throttled to one request per device per hour. Devices report 4–6 times per day. Querying every five minutes does not trigger a new device reading.
Schedule requests at least 60 minutes apart, cache the response, and check LastPostTimeIso before treating a reading as new.
Device data
GET/centriconnect/{user_id}/device/{device_id}/all-data
Read device data
Returns the latest stored reading for a device registered to your account. This request does not cause the monitor to upload a new reading.
| Name | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
user_idrequired · string | path | Your MyPropane User ID. |
device_idrequired · string | path | The ID of the monitor you want to read. |
device_authrequired · string | query | Your Device Authentication Code from MyPropane. |
Request body: none. Supply authentication in the query string.
Request examples
Set CENTRI_USER_ID, CENTRI_DEVICE_ID, and CENTRI_DEVICE_AUTH in your environment using the values from MyPropane. Each example makes one request.
curl --get \
"https://api.centriconnect.com/centriconnect/${CENTRI_USER_ID}/device/${CENTRI_DEVICE_ID}/all-data" \
--data-urlencode "device_auth=${CENTRI_DEVICE_AUTH}"The cURL example uses a Bash-compatible shell. Run automated requests no more than once per device per hour.
Response
The response is a JSON object keyed by Device ID. This shortened example uses illustrative values.
